Sunset at the end of our road. Colours were great. Uploaded this photo on Jan. 31 and didn't get back to the computer till now. It is Feb. 1...1256am. Had some interuptions. I am sewing on Pat Sloan's Hip to be square. Got quite a bit more done on that this afternoon. We had some great weather last week but winter is back now. Had some yesterday. monster potholders. Jan. 21

These are the potholders that Jenn and I made for Chris and Sara for Christmas. Hated to give the away. May have to make more later. I received a set that due to the fabric having apples on it Jenn thought they reminded her of monsters so we proceeded to try and make some. It was fun making the together. Hard to believe that my baby girl will be 22 this coming Monday. Where did all the time go. Happy quilting:)Carol

extension table for sewing machine Jan. 17, 2015

My hubby and daughter made me an acrylic extension table for my sewing machine. I just love it. It is so nice to not have to hold up the quilt blocks while I am sewing. I am in heaven when I sew now. So glad I thought to ask if they could make it. Hard to believe that it middle of Jan already. Even in retirement the days seem to pass quickly. It is quite mild today. Went for a walk to get yesterdays mail and it was very nice. Still winter but nice. Happy quilting, :)Carol

5 strip pot holders

These are 2 potholders that I made using 5 strips. I really like this pattern. Hard to believe that it is Jan. 12 already. I am in the process of trying to organize my sewing room and purge some of the stuff I really don't need anymore. Had a nice quiet Christmas at home. Happy quilting..

Oct. 12, 2014 Two strip quilt that I made

This is a top that I made for a charity quilt for my guild. I handed it in at our Sept. meeting so hopefully now someone will do the quilting of it. Wow, we are Oct. 12 already. How did that happen? Still having warm days. Night cool down. Had snow early in September but it has been nice since then. Happy thanksgiving to all. We are have our son and his girlfriend for mid day dinner tomorrow.
